Corrosion Protection for Outdoor Power Lines
The galvanized steel power pole is designed for transmission and distribution lines that operate outdoors for extended periods. Its main feature is a complete hot-dip galvanized protection system for the pole body, crossarms, and matching steel connection members.
The pole can be manufactured as a tangent, tension, angle, terminal, or crossing structure. Single-circuit, double-circuit, and multi-circuit designs are available.
This product can be used in plains, mountainous areas, plateaus, and coastal corrosive environments. The final corrosion protection requirements are selected according to the installation location and project documents.
Zinc Coating and Material Options
Main steel materials can include Q235B, Q355B, or Q345B. Q420B may be selected for higher-load specifications. Materials required by the project country can also be considered.
The complete structure receives full hot-dip galvanizing. The regular zinc coating thickness is at least 85 μm. For coastal and high-salt-spray environments, a higher corrosion protection configuration can be specified.
The galvanized layer covers the pole body and exposed steel parts. This helps reduce the continued effect of outdoor moisture, rain, and salt spray on the base steel.
Shandong Hongtaiyuan Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. maintains an ISO 14001 environmental management system and complies with applicable local environmental regulations. Surface treatment and quality inspection are managed together with the project's corrosion protection requirements.
Line Parameters and Assembly
Common nominal heights include 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36 meters. The line angle can be designed within a range of 0–90 degrees.
Typical horizontal spans are 250–500 meters, while typical vertical spans are 300–600 meters. The galvanized steel power pole can support LGJ-185, 240, 300, 400, and 500 conductors. GJ steel strand or OPGW optical ground wire can be supplied for the ground wire system.
The factory completes steel cutting and laser drilling or punching. Connection areas use grade 6.8 or grade 8.8 high-strength bolts. Site work is mainly completed by bolted assembly.
Galvanized Surface and Packing Inspection

- Quality control is performed during fabrication, semi-finished product handling, and packaging. Workers conduct process self-inspection, while quality personnel carry out sampling inspections. Third-party inspection arranged by the customer is accepted.
- The company has a steel pole inspection report, product inspection certificates, and qualified physical and chemical inspection personnel. These resources support material control, processing accuracy, and finished-product inspection.
- Export poles receive additional packing reinforcement after the normal domestic packing process. This reduces impact on the galvanized surfaces and helps prevent crossarms and connection parts from becoming loose or mixed.
- Photos or videos can be supplied during production. If transport damage is found after arrival, the after-sales team checks the issue and may arrange replacement parts when it cannot be solved on site. The product includes a two-year warranty.
