Galvanized Protection for Exposed Foundation Parts

Hot dip galvanized anchor bolts use a zinc layer and zinc-iron alloy layer to improve corrosion resistance in outdoor, humid, and industrial environments.
They can be used for transmission lines, communication base stations, substations, lighting poles, traffic facilities, solar support structures, outdoor steel structures, facilities near ports, and industrial plant foundations.
The galvanized protection can cover exposed threaded sections, nuts, washers, anchor plates, and other steel connection parts. It provides a surface barrier and sacrificial protection for the underlying steel.
This product is suitable for foundation connections that remain exposed to rain, moisture, or outdoor atmospheric conditions for extended periods.
Thread Range and Structural Options
Thread sizes range from M12 to M100. Total lengths can be produced from 200 to 4000 mm.
Available strength classes include grade 4.8, grade 5.8, grade 8.8, and grade 10.9. ASTM F1554 Grade 36, Grade 55, or Grade 105 can also be selected.
Structural forms include straight rods, L-shaped bolts, J-shaped bolts, anchor plate bolts, and double-ended threaded bolts.
The recommended zinc coating range is 55–100 μm. The final coating thickness is determined according to the product size, service environment, and project specifications.
Different diameters, strength grades, and anchoring structures can all receive hot-dip galvanized treatment.
Thread Fit and Coordinated Corrosion Protection
Nuts can be processed according to the zinc coating thickness to improve thread fit after galvanizing. This helps reduce excessive assembly resistance and thread engagement problems.
Bolts, nuts, washers, and anchor plates can use a matching corrosion protection system. A coordinated finish reduces large differences in protection life between individual parts within the same foundation connection.
For high-salt-spray or heavily corrosive locations, the project can specify a higher zinc coating requirement. A combined system using hot-dip galvanizing and an additional coating may also be used according to the project documents.
The final protection configuration should match the actual exposure conditions of the foundation and its external connection parts.
