Transmission Tower Anchor Bolts

Transmission tower anchor bolts connect tower foot plates, tower bases, or steel pole flanges to concrete foundations. They can be supplied for angle steel transmission towers, lattice towers, tubular steel poles, tangent towers, tension towers, terminal towers, and crossing towers.

 

These components may remain embedded in concrete or partly exposed outdoors for long periods. Their working loads can include tower self-weight, wind load, conductor tension, ice load, construction load, and repeated vibration.

 

Bolt diameter, embedment length, exposed thread length, and anchor form are selected according to the tower foot plate, foundation design, and tower-leg loading conditions.

Thread sizes range from M20 to M72, with total lengths from 400 to 3000 mm. Strength classes include grade 5.8, grade 8.8, and grade 10.9. ASTM grades required by the project can also be used.

Available anchoring forms include straight rods with anchor plates, L-shaped bolts, J-shaped bolts, and double-nut anchoring structures.

Hot-dip galvanizing is the main corrosion protection method. The coating thickness can be specified within a range of 55–100 μm according to the project standard. Bolts, nuts, washers, and anchor plates can receive matching corrosion protection.

The exposed threaded section is configured for outdoor operation, while the embedded section is matched with the concrete foundation and anchor design.

The reserved thread length provides space for tower foot plate installation, elevation adjustment, secondary grouting, and double-nut locking.

Transmission Tower Anchor Bolts may be packed by individual bolt number, tower-leg position, or foundation number. Matching components can include nuts, washers, anchor plates, positioning templates, and thread protection sleeves.
